On the grounds of Strawbery Banke Museum, dozens of colorful booths and the fragrance of cooking chili attract lines of locals and travelers, from near and far, to sample the best chili chefs have to offer. For the beer lovers, bowls of chili and cornbread can be accompanied by local Red Hook Beer. Restaurants compete for Most Popular Chili, Critics Choice Chili and Best Booth. Everyone gets to vote and compare their favorites.
When you have had your fill of chili, wander over to the Museum's Fall Festival to see handcrafts for sale and demonstrations of weaving, coopering, food preserving, open hearth cooking and farm animal exhibits.
Staying at the Martin Hill Inn puts you within a 15-20 minute walk of the festivities, so you can leave your car with us.
One ticket covers both events and costs just $15 for adults, $6 for children.
This was our 12th visit to the Inn and we keep returning! The Inn is an old beautiful building and the rooms are extremely clean and comfortable with lovely furnishings. A delicious breakfast was served every morning...
